Using GIT for source control with ASP.NET Core.

I was reading this article about GIT:
https://yourbrainoncomputers.com/using-git-with-visual-studio-2019-the-ultimate-guide/#Install_Git_Learn_Git

It goes over the steps to create a local git repository but not much on setting up a repo for a team of developers.

I also saw this article which mentions using git to merge local branch with remote branch.
https://www.jadeglobal.com/blog/migrating-source-code-tfs-git-version-control-system

My confusion is in setting up a remote branch with GIT and merging the local branch to the remote branch. I've done this with TFS but not understanding how this is setup and done using GIT. I have installed git on my windows pc and know how to create a local repo and just know sure about how to setup remote development , staging and production branches where the team of developers will deploy to.

If I want to setup a git repository for a new app that will be worked on by 10 developers.

Does anyone know a good article
or a book
or a brief summary of the steps to set that up?

Right now we use TFS for source control but want to use GIT instead.
Right now we are using Visual Studio 2019 and developing ASP.Net Core MVC app.
We deploy our app to IIS web server.
