Redirected Folders and Files with RDS
I am setting up RDS access on a network that has its users setup with Roaming Profiles and Redirected Folders and Files. All computers are set to "always available offline"
When I log in through RDS, the "always available offline" is not available.
The method of access up to this point has been to log in from a local work station and this allows all to work well.
The new method will be that some users will be using laptops with a docking station when they are on site, so the system will continue to work well. When they log on remotely through the RDS, their profiles show up properly. My concern is that if they did some work remotely but were not able to log on, their work would not synchronize.
Would it be better to remove this group from Redirected Folders and Files?

Will it be problematic to use the exiting Roaming log on when on site? Should they always be restricted to RDS logon?
Is there a way the "always available offline" can work with RDS. If not, would I be better to remove these users participation in Redirected Folders and Files?

Thanks for your help. Will start a new question on a different issue

There is no difference between accessing RDS via the lan or via the WAN .. The users device simply is an i/o device.. keyboard/monitor all of the compute/file actions are done on the server.
