Note: Even if you have a very good or even "the best" antenna, it doesn't mean you will get all the local stations clearly 100percent of the time.
Obstructions, distance from the transmitter tower, signal transmission strength, and many other factors come into play. (One example: Chanel A's transmitters are close to you so the station comes in nice and clear, but Channel B's transmitters are on another hill far from you and that station may not come in very reliably on your TV)
If you have a free standing residence, the old style big ones that go on the roof is probably a solid choice (mainly because they are high up, and consequently can better catch whatever signal is out there)

This antenna will be mounted on the roof of a 4 story building.
So I'm hoping to get suggestions from others who have a better understanding of this about what the best outdoor HD TV antennas are that I can purcahse.
