How can I get the receiver of Facetime and Facebook conference sessions to see the sender?

Hello and Merry Christmas Everybody,

Earlier today, my fiancee tried to Facetime her daughter and grandchild which resulted in some technical issues which I will attempt to describe now.  Basically, my fiancee was able to see and hear her daughter and grandchild on the other end, however, they could not see her.  But, they were able to hear her.  The results were the same when she switched to Facebook.  That said, I am wondering what we can do to resolve this technical issue.  Oh, just in case this is needed, my fiancee's phone is  an iPhone 6s Plus (Model A1634)

Thanks so much in advance for any help which can be given here.

she has too use the video option not just the voice option AND the app has to have permissions to access the camera. Check under the privacy settings
As David suggested, see whether your fiancé' settings are to block the camera.
The call seems to be video, confirm whether the active camera is the one facing versus the one onthe back.

If not mistaken, there is an option to flip he active camera.
If you have a similar hone. With FaceTime, try a session between them and see if you can correct the situation.. Usually, in a call, there should be a small, square right corner displaying what is being sent/presented tothe other side.

David and Arnold,

Thank you, both, for your suggestions.  While your suggestions certainly make sense, could you both provide some step-by-step guidance for accomplishing the goals mentioned?  For instance, how can I check to see if the app has to have permission to access the camera under the privacy settings?  Also, how about the video versus voice option?  How can we make sure the video option is enabled?  Also, what are the steps of flipping the active camera?

Any additional clarification regarding the troubleshooting steps will be greatly appreciated.  Once received, we can begin trying to resolve this issue.  Hopefully, it is a "software" issue that can be resolved through modifying a setting as opposed to a "hardware" issue.

              Thank you, both, once again.

Thank you, everyone, for your insightful suggestions.  With respect to hardware changes, the only modification which was successfully carried out was the replacement of the battery.  Without resetting all settings of the iPhone 6s Plus, it is going to be difficult to separate out whether the origins of this issue are "software" or "hardware" in nature.  Unfortunately, she does not want to entertain this option because of losing her stored passwords.  That said, I have to understand and respect her decision.

If any further updates or concerns should arise, I will open up a new post with appropriate details for advisement.

Thanks so very much once again, to everyone, for your feedback.  It is always much appreciated.

George
