Unable to shrink Server 2019 partition

Server 2019 is installed on my Dell PowerEdge R730xd server which is installed in a RAID 6 array spanning 12 hard drives.

When I try to shrink this hard drive using the Server 2019 Computer Management console I receive an error message that says "There is not enough space available on the disk(s) to complete this operation."

The size of this partition is 9309.40 GB and this partition currently has 5.52 TB of free space.

What can I do to fix this issue so I can shrink this partition?

Or what other utilities or methods can I use to shrink the size of this partition?

I'm hoping to do this without having to delete and recreate this partition.

Do you get some warnings in event viewer application log?
Maybe you can find there the file that can not be moved and stops the shrink.

run a chkdsk /f before trying to shrink the partition.
Dell PowerEdge R730xd

The way you created the arrays was not using a windows Manager, right?
So go to the PowerEdge software on the server itself and resize it from there.

The procedure should be
Defragment the whole disk using the "My Pc"/ Right-click the drive and then Properties/Tools/Optimize

Once done, Reboot the server and use the Server Options to enter to the Raid Configuration, and then and only then do the resize. Don't use windows to do this, you'll mess up the whole server's and data.
