Decommissioning exchange 2013 in a hybrid configuration that includes exchange 2016. Exchange 2016 will be retained.
I want to decommission the exchange 2013 server in a hybrid configuration that also includes exchange 2016 server. I want to retain the the exchange 2016 server. Exchange mailbox databases have been removed from the exchange 2013 server. Is there a recommended step by step procedure on how to complete decommissioning the exchange 2013 server?

Thank you for the response. I want to leave the exchange 2016 in hybrid configuration, including all domains in the email address policy. Will the powershell commands leave the exchange 2016 in hybrid configuration?

I ran HCW on the exchange 2013 when it was the only exchange server in the organization. Then I ran HCW on the exchange 2016 after it was added to the organization.
I will try just uninstalling the exchange 2013. Almost all mailboxes had been migrated to Office 365 and the few on-premise mailboxes had been moved to the exchange 2016 - these mailboxes will be migrated to Office 365 soon.
All mailbox databases had been removed from exchange 2013.

Remove-Organization Relationship –Identity “On Premises to Exchange Online Organization Relationship”
Remove-Federation Trust –Identity “Microsoft Federation Gateway”
Remove-Send Connector “Outbound to Office 365”
Using EMC remove domain that was added as part of the email address policy.
Remove the organization relationship from the Exchange Online organization by executing command.
Disable the Inbound and Outbound connectors created by the Hybrid Configuration Wizard from online.
Remove Mailbox Database, Public Folder Database, Offline Address book and other receive connectors from EMC.
Disable Exchange 2013 Services on on-premises exchange server and verify inbound and outbound email flow for office 365 mailboxes.
Decommission Exchange 2013.
