asked on Cisco ASA : can not access ASDM due to high CP
during peak hours I can not access ASDM and experience hangouts and delays in CLI .
the CPU , RAM utilization is normal the throughput utilization is very low
the output of (show cpu detailed) shows 100% of CP utilization “ Current control point elapsed versus the maximum control point elapsed for:5 seconds = 100.0%; 1 minute: 100.0%; 5 minutes: 100.0% “
I disabled logging and the CP utilization dropped to 63% and I was able to access ASDM.
disabling logging is not an option ,I wonder if can get CP lower by something other than disabling logging

What are you doing at the firewall? Is it just basic filtering or do you also do NAT, inspection, IPS, etc?
