I'm most likely going to purchase this electric bike off of Amazon.
I've been looking around the San Francisco/San Jose, CA Bay area for the models that I am most interested in buying but haven't been able to find any new or used bikes from either bike shops or private sellers.
Since I'm purchasing the bike online without being able to try it first do you have any other recommendations on what I should look for or make sure of before I purchase an electric bike?
Yes, "fully functional pedals" means that I as the human riding the bike can provide the power and torque needed for the bike to climb the hills and mountains.
The problem is that I will be climbing some steep hills like the hills in San Francisco and I'm also hoping to be able to ride such an electric bike up Mount Diablo (while I am in California before I move out of state to other states that also have steep hills and mountains) so that's why I'm trying to find the right type of electric bike that will allow me to do to this.
Especially since I will be riding this bike to and from work and I don't always have the energy necessary to do this all simply by the power supplied by my own pedaling.
Does anyone know of any other means that I can use to compensate or what other model electric bikes I can purchase to provide added torque and power to climb steep hills when I can't do all the pedaling?
