Why not setup another VM load the OS, load the SQL, restore a backup from the existing one, and test out, then when ready, backup, restore and cut over.<br />
<br />
IMHOm the risk three changes server OS, SQL server, and whether the application will work with the Enewetak SQL.

Hello Team,
I currently have a Server with OS: Windows 2012r2 Server , DB: SQL Server 2014, hosted on AWS.
I am instructed by my management to do an in place upgrade of the OS to Windows 2016, and the DB to SQL Server 2019.
Is it possible to upgrade the OS, and the SQL svr on AWS without an ISO file? Is there a way?
