I got too annoyed but the update notification so I decided to do it on my personal laptop. So far I like it, has anyone done the upgrade in a mid-sized - large business environment? If so, any regrets?
it is even more oriented to handhelds, and includes so many trivial add-ins that most people do not need, that it simply requires new hardware in many cases (TPM2) to me it looks lthat MS wants to have the market of handhelds, and forgets about business users i would like an option to install or not, trivial options like location detection, speech recognition etc... (each person has different needs) this would make it more lightweight, and adapted to the persons specific needs
bottom line : it will sell much new hardware/software
Interesting, I have a decent 2-3 old dell laptop myself, the upgrade was a good thing. As a matter of fact, performance is much better, but again, this is my personal laptop with basic apps. I wonder what it'd be like in a enterprise.
@nobus. I have a Dell latitude 7490 - 16 GB ram,500 ssid. I don't have data to show performance metrics for before and after the update. I use ms office 2019, and 4 business apps on it, they all seem to be working. What I can say, is that for my specific case on this laptop I notice the programs loading faster, whether I'll have issues in the future is yet to be seen.

ok - if you like it - that's good for you. iwas just curious if you could give some data on the "faster" part
