Trouble editing in Adobe Photoshop 2022
I am not a Photoshop user, but need to edit a few words of text and a few colors.
I have the file open and see clearly. But, I move the cursor over it and it only shows as a cross, which gives me the feeling it is an image.
When I click a layers, on the right panel, which I want to edit, nothingn happens.
How do I get it into a mode which lets me change text? Same question for colors?

Hi, it seems I installed the fonts correctly. And your image helped me to edit the text.
How do I change a text background color?
Is there a tool I can select for that?
I see a text field, with a sentence and a golden background.
How do I edit that?
