AWS Glacier vs S3 glacier buckets/objects

Hello,


AWS Glacier console buckets and S3 Glacier objects are not interchangeable. Also, I cannot switch class levels in AWS Glacier between S3 Glacier Instant Retrieval, S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval and S3 Glacier Deep Archive and I was not able to; it was just "Glacier".


Can I safely assume that at this point anything that was in original Glacier console will stay and anything new added via S3 console as with Glacier tiers will not be cross-visible (as it currently is not)?


I hope it makes sense.

Thanks for confirming; it looks like S3 Glacier console is not getting any updates (cannot modify class of service) while S3 continues to be improved in that matter. I was assuming that buckets created in S3 and S3 Glacier would align if the S3 data class of service was in Glacier. Apparently not :)
