Help understanding vpn and cloudflare

Hi Experts!

I have a question regarding cloudflare apps and vpn.  I downloaded a free copy of Warp Cloudflare in my PC and in my mobile.  Recently I was told this apps is like a vpn.  I tested and saw in both iPhone and PC when I go to https://www.whatismyip.com/ and it does change the IP (it displays another public IP).  So it seems cloudflare is like a vpn it hides or replaces the public IP (seems to do that), but does it encrypt to/fro data from my devices and prevents my ISP know websites visited (like a vpn does)?

it says "connection between your application and a website may be encrypted", so it seems not always?

I Just tested other ip-sites, https://www.whatismyip.com/ (see below) and all gave me my real public IP:

So cloudflare doesn’t hide my IP?

Thank u!  I was looking for that specific page in cloudflare, your link (see below pix)
User generated image

That said, that means that the https://www.whatismyip.com/ which cloudflare hides my IP, is not in the cloudflare network? correct?

And the sites below that when run, it display my actual IP, not hidden, that means they are in the cloudflare
Am I correct on the above?

Something is a bit off ...

I mean the link states 'WARP mode was meant to ensure all your traffic is kept private between you and the origin server (that is, the site you are connecting to), but not from the origin itself' which means,
  • My traffic is hidden between my PC and the site visiting ("origin server")
  • Yet, the data flowing bewteen the "origin server" and my PC, the visiting site (the "origin server" ) can see the data being queued plus my real public IP

If I am correct of the above, then something is a bit off: why when visiting site, "origin server"), of  https://www.whatismyip.com/, cloudflare hides my IP and shows cloudflare IPs? Isn't supposed to show my IP since '(that is, the site you are connecting to), but not from the origin itself '?

(hope I am transferring my concern correctly)
