Facebook settings for ignore, etc.

Someone is somewhat harassing us on Facebook. There may be settings to ignore or block but if we do they may report our account to FB for some false reason.

So we want to stop them without causing them to create issues for our account.

Currently I am just not replying the their FB message. I gave them a reply about a week ago and tried to phrase the reply so they would get the message, They seemingly have not.

Options?

Thanks.

I don't want them reporting me in return.

I've just not replied to their message vs. blocking etc. They are a pushy salesman type who wants to buy my house. It will be for sale but these types want to offer cash. The asking price will not be lowered and will not be sold to that type of person. I tried over a series of 4 messages to explain to them the lack of clarity on the timing of a sale. They kept prodding for more. Their last message was "have you sold your house?" This was not a desired question from this particular person. If I say yes sold and he sees it on FB he knows it was not sold. If I say it has not sold he will continue with his efforts.
Maybe this is not consider harassment action in your case. We only can do within our best control with the alternatives we have. If the person keep pushing, you can either reply he/she in manner way to end the entire conversation. The rest of not relevant messages you may ignore it since he/she is not your targeted customer.

Otherwise, you may seek your legal advice on how to handle this kind of conversation in better way since you didn't want to choose to report/block the fb profile.
It is pretty strange that you disclose more than enough personal information within Facebook.

Do you friends need to know via Facebook which house you are staying now?

-------------- a photo of my house and the details of the home. No location given other than the city. Description of the house and photos is all I disclosed.

Facebook Marketplace has a real estate group. I posted my house for sale on that group.
As have hundreds of other people nationwide. I've heard from home buyers and when I tell them it won't be vacant for a few weeks or longer they accept that and say in general "ok thanks" or some other "closure" to their inquiry.

I don't think I can block them or report them. They can surely get revenge by reporting me to FB and telling them my home sale listing is phony and I am misrepresenting this or that and so on. Blocking them gets my account subject to what the person may decide to do. I just want them to stop asking about the house. It will not be sold to an investor period. They all want to offer cash for a large discount in the price.
