Process to migrate file shares and data from Server 2008 to Server 2019

There is an old 32-bit Server 2008 server within my environment that contains around 20 network shares and several gigabytes of data.

As far as we can tell these server shares are no longer being used.

This Server 2008 server needs to be decommissioned and I have prepared a replacement Server 2019 server. This replacement Server 2019 server will be used in case anyone ever comes back and mentions that data needs to be accessed from these server shares.

These file shares are all located on the D: drive of this server which is a drive that hosts only file shares.

I would like to migrate the existing server shares and data from this Server 2008 server to the replacement Server 2019 server using as much of an automated process as possible.

I don't want to have to complete this process manually.

What methods or utilities exist that will allow this sort of migration to be done?
