Is Silverlight needed for anything on SCCM servers or can it be removed?
Is Silverlight required for MEM 2103 or later versions? Our security team discovered Silverlight installed on our SCCM servers and view this as a security risk. Is this still used for anything or can it be removed?
it hasn't been used in years. I actually liked silverlight but it was rather short lived

I highly recommend removing it, there are plenty of vulnerabilities, you can check the CVE database by clicking here.

Silverlight is not supported by Microsoft now either, so if you do have apps using it, other than MECM, talk to the developers and swtich to modern Web 2.
MECM curent branch (i.e. the latest) has no requirement at all for Silverlight.
