What is the processs of wiping the SSD on a HP EliteBook x 360 830 G6 laptop?
How would you go about wiping the SSD on a HP EliteBook x 360 830 G2 via the BIOS?
If I need to wipe the SSD on a HP EliteBook x 360 830 G6, laptop, how would I go about it in the BIOS?

yes. the reserve sectors are indeed an issue for some people.
note that platter drives also had spare sectors. just less of them. sas drives were a nightmare in this regard.
i also totally concur such operations do have an incidance on the drive life span.
the above is good enough and probably overkill if you expect to sell the drive and do not require military grade security.
whoever voluntarily destroys a working piece of equipment and has no real requirement for military grade security should imho receive the same treatment they inflicted on said equipment. even for the military, this should not be needed unless they were dumb enough to store actual complete data sets on a single drive and have no sufficient knowledge of the drives internals to perform a real wipeout or are just too lazy and selfish to bother.
