Stephan,<br><br>&nbsp;You want to look at:<br><br>InStr() to locate the position of text<br><br>and then<br><br>Mid() to pull out a chunk.<br><br>a Mid() call looks like:<br><br>&nbsp;=Mid(myString, 23,16)<br><br>&nbsp;This would pull 16 characters starting at the 23rd character.<br><br>&nbsp;Also there is:<br><br>&nbsp;Left() - &nbsp;Grab x characters starting from the left.<br>&nbsp;Right() - Grab x characters starting from the right.<br><br>&nbsp;other handy string functions in VBA:<br><br>&nbsp;Len() - Gives you the length<br>&nbsp;Replace() - Replaces occurrences of a string with another string in a string.<br><br>&nbsp;Let me know if you need more details.<br><br>Jim.
