Signed Word Doc losses signature after converting to PDF

Hello,

In our organization our interpreting Physicians use docusign for various documents. They then need to convert these documents to PDF. We have one physician who converts his documents to pdf and then loses the signature after that.

They connect to Terminal Servers to accomplish these task. Docusign is managed with a Docusign Signature Appliance and this is managed by a cloud provider. We get no support from them if there are no issues with us connecting to them, basically being left with all these random Docusign issues to figure out on our own. Docusign also doesn't seem to have any articles for anything you ever run into.

Does anyone know why a word doc with a docusign signature would lose the signature when converting to PDF?

How are they converting to PDF? If they try to print to PDF, does that work?

If I either print to Print to Microsoft PDF or export it.  The result is the same.

Let me just note that instead of using Bullzip, I am using dopdf printer. Bullzip solved the problem, but was also producing a watermark.  Dopdf could not be installed on the Terminal Server, which doesn't mater as I was informed that this process actually takes place on Workstations.  I also want to note, that though this is a good workaround, this does not address the root cause, which I don't see us finding without vendor support.
