<p><strong>Scenario</strong>: &nbsp;Installed Visual Studio 2017 and downloaded the SSDT.</p><p><strong>Issue</strong>: &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The SSDT installation does not find VS 2017 therefore VS2017 cannot create or modify SSIS solutions. &nbsp;Also, have tried the tools menu option in VS2017 for extension and cannot find Microsoft Integrations Services Project. </p><p><br></p><p>Is this a known issue? &nbsp;I have other servers that have the same setup and work just fine.&nbsp;</p><p>I am trying to migrate a slew of SSIS solutions to the new server and no dice.&nbsp;</p><p>Any assistance will be appreciated.</p>

Scenario
:  Installed Visual Studio 2017 and downloaded the SSDT.
Issue

SSDT installation cannot find Visual Studio 2017 instance!

Installation is the act of making a computer program program ready for execution. SSIS is a platform for data integration and workflow applications. It features a fast and flexible data warehousing tool used for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). The tool may also be used to automate maintenance of SQL Server databases and updates to multidimensional cube data. SSIS replaced Data Transformation Services, which had been a feature of SQL Server since Version 7.0.
