What version to Upgrade Exchange 2016 without major changes or issues

Though we are beginning the process of migrating to M365, in the meantime, our cybersecurity insurance is forcing our hand to upgrade on-premise Exchange.  To avoid a major issue, I believe we should go to the minimum cu instead of to the most current.  Additionally we have a 2 node cluster for Exchange that share a database.  Thoughts?

Our current version, MS Exchange Server 2016 Build 15.1.2176.2

Plan to upgrade to, MS Exchange Server 2016 Build 15.1.2176.14

Looking most current version is 15.1.2507.9

Thank in advance, I'm a bit rusty on Exchange.  Looking for guidance and any upgrade suggestions.

Thank you for the feedback, I will indeed then jump ahead, I'll go with 15.01.2507.006.  I was just concerned about so many revisions in-between our version and the current.

Any suggestions on how to upgrade this?  Since I have 2 Exchange nodes sharing the database, I assume I upgrade one and then failover?

Thanks in advance.

Take a backup and run setup /preparead if that runs fine go ahead and run the update.
Thanks, I will do this, Take a backup and run setup /preparead if that runs fine go ahead and run the update. .  Just didn't know if there was anything special to having 2 Exchange server nodes.

Thanks
