How to make fields read-only or locked based on a checkbox content control field.

Does anyone know if it is possible, that in a Word .docm file, if there is a checkbox content control field, that if it was checked, that it can lock the entered values in the same table in which the check box is located?

I've attached a screenshot for reference.  Essentially, we are trying to create an ongoing log; however, when the case is reviewed each week, we need the notes and options checked for that week to be locked, so that when someone goes in the following week to review the case, the first set of notes and options are there, but locked and not editable.  User generated image

Yes, it's possible. You would have to write a VBA macro to do it. Doing a search on terms like Word VBA protect document with content control checkbox will get you started. Feel free to post your code when you need help debugging.

Microsoft Word is a commercial document editing program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It features numerous text-editing tools for creating richly formatted documents, along with tools for the use of macros in Word documents. Word's native file formats are denoted either by a .doc or .docx file extension. Plugins permitting the Windows versions of Word to read and write formats it does not natively support, such as the OpenDocument format (ODF) are available. Word can import and display images in common bitmap formats such as JPG and GIF. It can also be used to create and display simple line-art.
