Acrobat Reader DC -how simply select just an area to send to printer??

Hey there.  I have one user who is used to selecting an area of a page in a pdf and sending it to a printer, and generally it prints without errors.  Not sure how he was selecting it, that was prior to installing the currect ver of acrobat reader 32bit we were able to find/download, even though the 64 bit should have been available.

Anyway - I don't seem to be able to find how you can select just an area within a pdf and send it to the printer.  Anyone?

Thanks guys!!

I have adobe acrobat dc and the only thing I can think of is in the print options you can print the current view

User generated image

If you are zoomed in on something, using this option prints only what you see

Hey there!

Thanks so much for the amazingly fast response!  Selected current view and it gives the entire page, can you select specific areas on a page to send to a printer, and have the image take up the whole page?

Thanks!

Hey Richard!

Edit/take a snapshot does not seem to be available in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

Could it be somewhere else?  Thanks again!!!

Another option is to make a selection in Adobe, right click and copy.

Then File -> New PDF -> From Clipboard

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC

I am using Adobe Acrobat and what I suggested will not be there.

I found this (Get snapshot back in reader dc)

It says to right click on toolbar, and in show/edit tools - select Take Snapshot

I don’t have a copy to try this on

Hey Scott

Thanks I see the option when you right click then show/edit take snapshot, but it does not appear to allow you to select specific area.....

I thought I can just use the mouse to select area - doesn't let me to that either...

I thought of that, thanks Scott

Dealing with an individual who is not very technically oriented and he said he was able to do it directly from Acrobat, before we upgraded his computer and just trying to find out how it was working for him before.

I’ve just installed Abode reader DC on my MAC.

I added the snapshot tool and then clicked it - my cursor changed to crosshairs and allowed me to select part of the document.

Not sure why it’s not working on yours!

If you still want a 64 bit version -

I found a link to all of the current versions of Abode DC here an dit shows a Tobit version.
