Steps to load Win 10 Pro edition on HP i7 desktops

I need to reload Windows 10 64-bit Professional edition on several HP i7 desktops at the organization I am working for.

These desktops are around 7 years old.

I have the Windows 10 64-bit 21H2 OS installation media on several thumb drives.

The problem is that when these thumb drives boot up on most of these HP desktops and we proceed with loading Windows 10 most of the time we are not given the OS installation menu where we can choose the edition of Windows 10 that we want to install where Windows 10 Home, Windows 10 Professional, or Windows 10 K versions can be selected.

Instead, the installation wizard begins and we are not given the choice of selecting which type of Windows 10 we want to load. Windows 10 home edition is loaded.

This happens both when we choose the UEFI and the legacy boot options.

After the Windows 10 installation has finished and Windows 10 boots up and while these computers are connected to the internet when we enter in the Windows 10 Pro product key Windows doesn't convert from the Home edition to the Professional edition.

So what can be done so that:

1. During the initial installation process we are given the menu where we can select between which type of Windows 10 we want to be installed (In this case the Professional edition instead of the Home edition).

2. For the Windows 10 Home edition operating systems that have already been loaded what process can we use to convert these Home edition operating systems to the Windows 10 Professional edition operating systems?

As I mentioned when I posted this question I have already tried the steps by going into the Windows settings and entering the Windows 10 Pro product key and this hasn't worked.

On most of the desktops, I then get a message that the product key is invalid.

Although on some of the desktops the product key does successfully upgrade the OS from Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro on most of the other desktops I get an error message and the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro doesn't take place.

The Windows 10 Pro license number activation key we are using is a Microsoft VLSC license key.
