65W PD charger can't charge laptop

https://nerdtechy.com/pd-3-qc-3-difference

Link above said PD is to charge laptop but

using a GAN 65W charger that has 2 output

ports, 1 labelled PD & 1 QC3.0, was not

able to charge my Fujitsu lifebook u7410

from the PD port (connected to 240V 13A

wall power outlet) using a 100W-supported

cable.

The very same cable could charge this very

same laptop when the cable connects from

a Baseus 65W power bank to the very same

Type-C port on the laptop.

Q1:

What's the cause the charger can't charge

the laptop?  The charger is:

the very same charger's PD port & cable could charge

power banks though.

Q2:

For a dumb power bank (that doesn't have intelligent

circuits in it to adapt input power), does the PD or QC3

charge the power bank faster?

> you cannot charge the laptop through them.

I was able to charge that laptop via the same Type

C port using the same cable connected to a Baseus

65W 30000mAh powerbank.

The price difference of US$4 vs US$28 (the charger

you suggested) is quite a big difference.  Besides,

I was hoping a tiny charger like the one I got from

Aliexpress works as it's much lighter (20% of the

weight of the charger you indicated: I actually have

the original Fujitsu charger of that size/built) &

much more compact (taking less space)

Dell laptops (hang on, this does bear on the topic) only charge at full rate from a charger which properly responds to a OneWire challenge and verifies that it is genuine Dell.

It's possible (though I cannot confirm it from personal knowledge) that Fujitsu has also adopted OneWire verification for chargers.

But that Lifebook charges fine from a Baseus 65W powerbank

that uses the same Type C cable into its Type C port.  Note that

this Fujitsu  Type C port is not an outlet (ie not for connecting

phones to it to charge the phones)

>So what did you do to make the powerbank work?!?

The moment I got the Lifebook from our PC support

team, I didn't have to do anything other than plug in

a type C (both ends) cable from the Baseus to the

Lifebook's type C port.

Btw, my objective here is to find a mini lightweight

charger that could connect from power supply on

wall to the Lifebook

The reviews say it works. However, it's still a factor of triple the price difference between those and the current norms.

That means, if you can buy an i7 laptop for a 1000 bucks, and you come here telling us you found the same deal for 333 bucks (which frankly, is barely enough to buy the most garbage Celeron laptop). It's possible, but highly unlikely. And if it is possible, corners were cut (in the safety department).
