Access tally through RDP to connect to a windows 2016 server

Dear Experts

We are using the tally application for accounting the same is hosted in our head office on windows pro and from branch offices users login through the tally client  and work.

We are planning to migrate to AWS hence at high level Infra planning EC2 considered with Windows 2016 server for hosting Tally prime application,  would like to understand the following please suggest

  1. Can we access the tally through RDP to connect to a windows 2016 server
  2. We have around 10 users who access the tally from remote locations if we migrate to AWS where tally is hosted on windows 2016 server, can all 10users at the same time login and work through RDP and is this recommend option
  3. If 10 users have to login via RDP is there any RDP license we have to purchase or it is not required please suggest

thank you for the  information, somehow still internally not much interested on tally offering AWS due to cost and other factors however once I prepare the costing for self hosting this may help to take decision. please help me understand on following

1. even if we host tally application on EC2 of AWS does it still require to pass through vpn ( like first login to vpn and then use RDP to connect to tally application), is it not possible to connect to tally without VPN

2. if we have to use RDP service to access tally then is there dependency or pre-requisite for Active Directory to be  setup and tally hosted server to be member of active directory, is it not possible to use RDP service and connect to tally without Active directory
Please suggest

thank you sir got it,  as per your suggestion  2 x servers (1 small instance to host Active Directory) (1 Beefier to host Tally) on AWS.  What type of VPN to be used, does AWS as has vpn as service so that we can purchase/subscribe and use this to connect to servers via vpn client please suggest.

AWS has it in their networking stack.
