Edge Search box enabled but not visible?
If you enable the search box in Edge Chromium, why doesn't the search box appear? Running latest versions of Edge, and have tested this on several Windows 10 computers. Client is running Firefox with the search box separate from the address, and this is his most important feature. He wants to save passwords and bookmarks in an account, but doesn't trust Mozilla to secure his account. He works between his laptop and CAD Workstation and wants the sync of his browser. He already has MS online account, so Edge is his first choice.

I know what it looks like in other browsers, and have seen it before in Edge. I have tried all of those options multiple times on 4 computers. One of the computers was a clean install of W10 20H2 without installing windows updates. The address bar just goes all the way across the top. The end user likes having them separate.
i use Edge on W10 and have a search box on the task bar

Edge search box is top right with the words "Search" next to it. It doesn't really look like a box until you start typing. If you don't see that you could try disable/re-enable. You can also reset Edge via settings.
You can also try show search box.
