How secure Camera access within its App Permission in iPhone and Android
Hi Experts!
Two parte question: In an iPhone as in an Android, if I disable access the camera from XYX apps, is it possible said app can access it even though it’s been disable? The other part of the question is, if the installed apps is not listed in the Privacy >> Camera area (iPhone) Permission Manager (Android), can the apps still access the camera?
Thanx in advance

(to be more specific, my boos ask questions prior making decisions, i don't usually know the subject or purpose, just attend to the questions; EE has been super helpful in some complex questions handed to me)
Ok, what do you think would happen when an app that you disallow camera access in fact did access the camera? Users would rate the app negatively and report the app to Google. Such 'spying' apps would not be for long in the PlayStore.

So, it is possible said app can access cam even though it’s been disable?
Even if an app would try, you would get the popup that camera access is requested. Questions like this one are purely theoretical and not all that useful tbh (imho).

- But is my "use", why would u say that? If u find my question "not all that useful", then let another Expert help.

No problem at all, I'll refrain from further comments on this one, hope you get your question answered.

Thank u Eoin OSullivan, it squares off with a meeting last night. One of topics was similar what's in this question; if an app can access microphone, cams even other apps document area within the iPhone.
I was informed similar to what u provided above, but in additional. they said that the manner that Apple sets up their infrastructure, developers cannot override Apple rules for development (unless the device been jailbreak of course).
For example. if a developer makes an apps that plays a simple game and place it in Apple App Store, when download, the apps will not be permitted to read other areas of the iPhone unless comply to its design purpose and apple rules (like access area bank app, emails apps, etc.); Apple has vetted apps to comply to the app's purposes but also Apple rules.
To close the question, what's your take on the above? Are they on the right track with info given or is it missing something?

Sounds reassuring, thanx. Can that be said for Android (Google apps) also?

Thank u very much.
