Can a responsive website poll GPS on an iPhone? Android?


I would rather write once, and use on both platforms, than write a native app for each.

Hence, a responsive website


But, can a responsive website poll the GPS on an an iPhone and Android?

Ok, when I run that on my Mac, the browser needs to query the Mac OS, where I can configure it to permit the geolocation. If this a setting that can persist on an iPhone and Android?

This exercise made me realize that Safari was already set to ON, in Mac - Preferences - Settings...


I hardly ever use Safaris, so either I forgot permitting this OR it was pretty sneaky of Apple.

I don't think so. Apple is quite strict in access rights in apps - you would have allowed it earlier.
