Update ESXi 7.0 to 3j

I want to Update ESXi on my Dell Hosts to "ESXi 7.0 Update 3j". I was instructed to "...to update the nodes you can do it one at a time by applying the baselines directly from the vcenter via the lifecycle..." but this isn't clear to me.

What we would do now, is setup an image using Lifecycle Manager for your cluster. Baselines are rather old fashioned now, and were specific to older host versions, e.g. 6.5 and 6.7. Images is the new method.

and add ESXi 7.0.3j and the latest A09 from DELL, and then Remediate your Cluster, and it will do all the heavy lifting of entering maintenance mode for each host, move the VMs off, and update and restart the Host, and if using Quick Boot on your servers, will have them all back in Production very quickly.

Hi, thanks for your post. You write "...and add ESXi 7.0.3j and the latest A09 from DELL...". The "...and..." suggests me there's something missing. Isn't it?
it's always worth adding both latest update from Dell, and VMware, and any drivers required well be merged from both packages if required.

Of course that does depend on what version of ESXi Build you are on from Dell.

you are already on A09 not required.
I've received the Dell Host already with ESXi setup with 3f. Dell makes "VMware-VMvisor-Installer-7.0.0.update03-20328353.x86_64-Dell_Customized-A09.iso" available and I think this is what has been used for.

Dell should be OK since there's nothing more updated (excluding v.8) available. VMware published 3j and this is why I opened this case. Drivers: I'd ignore this for now.

U3 from Dell + 3f from VMware. I suppose since I didn't do the job.

I suppose A09 was used.
I see no "Apply" action. I'm missing something?
