Very poor network quality for teams calls.

Hi. I have a Sonicwall NSA 2700, and we are wondering if the very, very poor quality of our teams meetings is down to the SOnicwall crushing the teams protocols. Is there a way to prioritise teams calls, or the associated protocols so that they get priority for the available bandwidth? More and more users are telling me that they are getting "poor network quality" messages when on teams meetings. Broadband speed test tells me I have 100mb connection, which should be enough to do teams calls.... Help would be much appreciated.

100Mbps  (Mega bits per second)  (100 milli bit for indefinite time seems harsh, )...

Is that 100Mbps symmetric or is it 100/10 like DSL... in the case of 100/10 the uplink is only 10Mbps.

You should be able to find out what the used bandwidth actually IS during teams meeting (and outside of those meetings), for comparing teams load to base load.

I haven't used the site dslreports.com lately, but it used to have some nice tools for testing latency, packet loss, and speeds.  I would run some of the tests and report back.  The big question is going to be what is your upload speed in real time look like on the SonicWall during a Teams meeting?

Thank you for your input. It is a symmetric line, actually it is 200mb up and down connection! So it beggars belief that that is not enough bandwidth for the teams calls...

What is your definition of "teams calls"  --  One user, a couple of users, a dozen or more users ?

Each user multiples the bandwidth requirements.
