Dear Experts
We have a windows server 2022 datacenter 16 core license, and as I understand, this allows us to license any number of VMs installed on that server.
But my issue is that I cannot license the VMs from the Automatic Virtual Machine Activation.
using generic AVMA key
slmgr /ipk <AVMA_key>
I used this link
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/get-started/automatic-vm-activation#system-requirements
But I got this error message.
Windows script host
Errir:0xc004f069 on a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition,run /slui.exe 0x2a 0x2a 0xc004f069 to display the error text
and when I type this command as in the error message, I get this
slui.exe 0x2a 0x2a 0xc004f069
the software licensing service reported that the product SKU is not found.
Please help in this matter.

the virtual host must b e running server 2022 datacenter gui and running hyper-v
on the hyper-v client then you can activate via AVMA
If so
dism /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandar
using MASQ's example, run
dism /online /get-currentedition
dism /online /get-targeteditions
What product key was used to install the Current OS?
if as MASQ points out you have an Eval version, you may have to go through a two step process, convert from EVal to a transition state and then to the Final state.

Which OS is running on this VM?
The following is an example for the intermediate step for OS 2019 and older.

See if the following works out for you if the VM has 2022
