Active directory/domain server crashed and was rebuilt, how should I handle recreating the Domain?

here is the scenario.  Active Directory/Domain server. Crashed and was rebuilt. No backup.  Should I remove the workstations from the domain, recreate the domain, then add them back?  Can I just create the domain with the same name and not worry about the workstations?

all of the domain computers have to rejoin the domain as the domain identifier will have changed. Plus the Domain controller doesn't know that they exist. Always have a minimum of 2 DC's (even with working backups)

Verify that you can connect as Admin on each workstation/server member of the (old) domain.

=> Create a local admin account when possible (using the old domain admin if still possible), before leaving the old domain, and join the new one.

=> Ideally, save profiles of each user with the tool USMT. It could be interesting to restore these profiles in the new profile folder for each user.
