Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS preseed script failing.

I'm trying to run the ubuntu-preeseed generator to build some custom iso files. The bash script is failing for some reason when it gets to creating temp directories. This is for Ubuntu Desktop 20.04.1. I'll attach the verbose run and the script and seed file as well as directories. Need to make this go quickly. I'm not suprised but disappointed the official Ubuntu site has a buggy script - or I'm more likely missing something. The failed run verbose is attached as well as other items in the zip file.

Script was from: https://github.com/covertsh/ubuntu-preseed-iso-generator

the GitHub repository says he supports 20.x and will support 22.x. the problem I'm running into is when the script is trying to write temp files there's a permissions problem. I've got a message in to the author but not response yet. was hoping so wind who knows script it better than I do could see what's breaking.

Generating images couldn't be done back to a local Windows drive mounted in Ubuntu. Made a second Ubuntu disk and stored things there . No issues.
