How do I disconnect an internal hard drive using Windows 10?

How do I disconnect an internal hard drive using Windows 10?  I need to set it up so that  the OS won't read the drive without opening the case and physically disconnecting the drive by disconnecting the cable.  It is difficult to get to the side panel of the computer due to the way that it sets on the table that it is on and I don't want to have to physically move the computer if I don't have to.

Buy a generously sized SATA "extension" power cable.  Buy a DPST switch.  Cut into the +5 and +12 lines of the extension cable, run them through the switch, run switch through wall of case using your preferred method.  Original configuration is intact and can be restored by removing the extension cable.  But there is no way the system can get at that drive when the switch is flipped and drive power is off.
why do you want the os not reading that drive?  and what drive is it?   the boot drive? or a second  drive?
this info would probably give us more info on how to solve the problem
