Usually, you have to enable it in the AD and have the account on the local system linked to it.
I.e. upon login, go to user settings and add pin, fingerprint....
initial login is user/password or smartcard.

The GPO are you pushing it as a local policy?
Run GPMC Group policy wizard to whether the GPO applied.

I ran gpresult.exe /R and I can see that my computer has received the GPO I created following the steps in your link.

I have 2 test users I have added to the " biometric users" global security group is AD.  ( my AD account is one of the test users )

When I reboot .. I still do not get a option for fingerprint.     Only for PIN and normal password...  and I need to click on OTHER USER in order to see sign-in options as a option.

You do not get a prompt on login, or within the configuration to set one up?

Did you setup a login option to use a fingerprint for your user?
If did setup the fingerprint as a sign-on option, and if your finger goes through the fingerprint scanner, what happens?

one thing to look at whether you have to use a local computer account with a finger print as a sign-on option, and have this local account linked to your AD account.
