<p>How old is the Gen1? &nbsp;2 years? &nbsp;3 years? &nbsp;How heavily was the battery used? &nbsp;It may have reached its recharge cycle life and needs replacement to get to the old maximum battery.</p><p><br></p><p>If your client has been heavily using the laptop, the battery life can be as little as half of stated maximum. &nbsp;No laptop I've ever used last more than around half the stated maximum battery life. &nbsp;I need a 16 hour battery to last an 8 hour day, since I'm on it continuously connected to multiple remote sessions and have multiple browsers and applications open.</p>
