Digicert CodeSigning Cert. on Hardware Token for Infopath + Sharepoint Forms

Hi,

DigiCert no longer sell their downloadable version of CodeSigning cert. that you import and export into the Browser's Certificate store. Now, they only sell CodeSigning cert. on USB tokens.

We've been using the traditional downloadable CodeSigning for Infopath / Sharepoint Form templates and I'm not sure whether the new USB token based Codesigning cert. would work with our environment.  If it doesn't,

 - is there a way to disable codesigning on Sharepoint / Infopath ?  or

- is there a way to create our own codesigning cert ?  or

- is there other companies besides Digicert, that sells the traditional CodeSigning cert?

Thank you!

The requirement to store code signing certificates on FIPS HSM's is new as of June
You can use the cloud keylocker https://docs.digicert.com/en/digicert-keylocker.html or order a bunch of HSM's and install the certificate on the HSM.

ASKER

Thank you for the information.

I spoke with two DigiCert support personnel and they don't seem to be too familiar with CodeSigning certs. They gave me two Codesigning options. One is with USB token and the other is with HSM. They can't say for sure whether one of them would work with Infopath / Sharepoint forms.

Do you think the USB token would work for our Infopath / Sharepoint forms?

HSM seems a bit complicated and we only have 1 developer.
