Question regarding Exchange Hybrid after migration to 365

Our setup is as follows

- Single AD/Forest

- 2 x 2016 Exchange servers in a DAG

- Hybrid connection to 365 with all mailboxes migrated and working fine.

- We do not need to keep an on premises Exchange server for relay

We ideally want to remove the 2 x 2016 Exchange servers and install the 2019 recipient management tools on a member server and use powershell to manage the users.

I understand need to NOT uninstall Exchange on the last server and just shut it down. My question relates to Hybrid. We have a member server (not one of the exchange servers) that has the hybrid agent on the server (we use modern hybrid). What do we do in this situation?

Do we remove the hybrid configuration or do we need to keep it in place for the 2019 management tools to function correctly?

Thanks in advance
