Splashtop performing very poor

I am one of the first users of Splashtop (Remote Control Software) when it first came out. It was the most awesome remote access tool I've ever used. Loved it more than log me in. I currently have a 250 user license. Never had a complaint.

I have many of my clients using the Splashtop business app to remote into their office PC for the past 10 years or so with no issues

In the last 30 days or so, many of my clients are calling me experiencing slow network connection with the amber colored bar across the top of their screen. The screen would lock up and you would have to disconnect and reconnect. Then after a few minutes it all happens again. I have been experiencing the same issue as my clients. I have used two different laptops running Splashtop business app trying to connect to a PC or server. They will have the same issue.

Splashtop has gotten quite large so their tech support is nowhere near what they used to be. I've sent them debug logs from the Splashtop business app and the Splashtop streamer as they requested with no resolution

It is very obvious that they are having issues on their side. I connect to the East Coast servers. I spoke to one tech and he stated that they get hundreds of calls right now so it is very obvious that they are having some serious networking issues..

So my question is

- is there anyone else who uses Splashtop and have you been noticing poor performance and disconnects?

- I'm at a point where I need to switch to another remote-control software provider. I'm not a fan of team viewer and I'm not interested in "log me in". I'm looking for tool that has the same video performance as Splashtop

Don't actually send those kinds of mails unless you really are going to cancel or don't care if they cancel you in response.  You need to have something lined up so that you can be prepared to carry through.

I didn't see the status page referencing performance issues. Thanks for the mention.

Yesterday, did speak three different Splashtop support folks. One of them admitted there is a major performance issue and working to get it resolved very soon. A manager emailed back to me and offered to extend my subscription three months.

serialband - this Splashtop issue has been going on for almost 30 days and it's been worse  the last several days. I posted this so I can prepare and get recommendations for recommended remote access software.

in the interim, I've been using Microsoft quick assist

This is where I found the status page: https://status.splashtop.com

Check Parallels Access

The status page mentions that Remote Desktop services are OK now.

Do you see any improvement?

I've been getting feedback from my users that it's better but still not as good as was originally. The last time I spoke to a Splashtop tech last week, they are still working on it that are hopeful the service will be fully restored.
