Remote desktop connection is not working for local admin account.

Whenever I try to start a remote desktop connection to a machine I get an error message saying " The system administrator has restricted the types of logon (network or interactive) that you may use. For assistance, contact your system administrator or technical support."

I can log in with a regular domain account but not through this local admin account.

I have this account added to the Remote Desktop Users group on the machine and I have a domain group policy that enables RDP on machines.

It sounds like you need to add the local admin account to the Remote Desktop Users group on the local machine. This can be found under Computer Management >> Local Users & Groups >> Remote Desktop Users
