Why doesn't my printer appear in Printer and Scanner settings?
I run Windows 11, and have several Brother printers. While all the printers work, my system shows one of the printers as "Default" that does not work. See image below. As you can see, I've tried reinstalling the MFC-L3750CDW three times, and always get the one ending in "GDI" as "Default". But that one doesn't work. The one ending in "Series" works. But when I go to my "Printers and Scanners" setting, only the GDI appears (see second image). How can I change the Default printer to the "Series" printer?
Thanks, Phil

Gerwin, Thanks for the prompt reply. I don't know what might have changed (Windows upgrades regularly), but I've reinstalled the L3750CDW three times. Each time it gives me the "GDI" version and the "Series" version, but only the "Series" version works and only the "GDI" version shows up under "Printers and Scanners" and the "GDI" version is the Default.
Glad it worked for you. The problem with just deleting a printer is that it does not delete all driver files.
Thanks for the points.
Is one of the printers a new printer or has anything been changed recently?
Did you try installing the drivers for the L3750CDW?
