Transform excel data matching criteria

Dear Experts

 

I am building a spreadsheet to track project progress & specifically how long it takes to get from stage 1 to 2 to 3 etc.

 

The data comes from our finance team which shows each individual Invoice - each item has a project ID, invoice date and invoice type (retainer, working fee & completion (i.e. stage 1,2,3).  Each project ID can have up to all 3 stages.

 

What I need to be able to do is effectively split out the data (using formulas so it can be reused) to put the corresponding invoice date into different columns dependant upon what invoice type it is so I can build the analysis from there.

 

I have attached an example which I hope helps - there are 2 tabs which shows the input & output. (The output tab uses a ‘unique filter’ to filter each project ID
