I have an application that was developed in-house. We have hundreds of customers that we need to access this application. This application displays data and images from the server. I thought External Connector was a perfect solution as no users are employees but customers that need to look up data. I am being told by a vendor that EC will not work and I must buy the more expensive remote user cals for each user. The description for EC seems to fit my needs exactly. Can anyone tell me why I cant use EC. Any guidance would be appreciated. What license is required for RDS deployment with terminal services? I would like to clarify how many and what type of licenses are required for RDS servers and internal and external users. For my internal users I can use user CAL, but for the external partners my understanding is that we can use external connectors and save some money.
