Word Docx protection
I have a user who has protected their word document (.docx) with a password but has forgotten the password
Hence can't access the file
I have tried the methods which worked with previous documents - converting to .rtf etc.... but no luck
Obviously security has been greatly increased
Any ideas anyone??

Think about what you are asking.
If password protections are easily bypassed, what is the point of having password protections in the first place?
Sure, as mentioned, there are tools out there that can crack easy ones but the one in the link above claims up to 70% success.
Most are probably good if the passwords are "Bunny12345" but not so good if the password is "!@#F#^%h$g35f2@%Fhg&=54fh -m"

Thanks all
It's possible to remove a read-only flag but if you want to decrypt a modern .docx you're limited to brute force or remembering the password or finding an unencrypted version on the author's machine.
If they've really no idea about the password it's statistically better to give up now.
