Printing on Epson Custom Forms

I have 2 printers EPSON LQ-690 AND LQ-690 ii ,

We use these printers to print continues paper invoices,

On windows 11 pro We use custom form size to print from the software ,

For the first form printed fine but next forms are incorrect and beginning of the print starts slightly going up for the next forms, we use Auto tear off and tried micro adjustment without help .

Without details on 'the software' and paper size details this is difficult to help you with.

Can you try printing from a standard app like MS Word - using the correct paper size - does that work?

Have you upgraded the system to Windows 11 and now the printing doesn't match your stationery?

Do you still have a machine with the previous setup working with the printer?

Dot matrix printers (DMPs) and continuous stationery work both because the custom form specifies the paper size and the print driver moves, parks and adjusts the paper a specified amount.

Check that the driver and paper size matches exactly that used on the earlier install.  If Windows selects a generic DMP driver you'll get critical differences in the movement of the paper through the printer resulting in the paper being parked fractionally too high or low for the next print.

A quick check is to find a print job from the previous system and overlay an equivalent print from your new setup, hold them to a bright light source and line up the top row of print so that the top of the characters are in line.  Check the bottom row of characters - are they still matching exactly?

Are you using Epson Status Monitor? Are you using Ethernet, USB or an LPT adapter to connect?

beginning of the print starts slightly going up for the next forms

Make sure that the page length in the driver matches the paper. Here's a guess: the driver is set for US letter (279 mm long) but the paper form length is A4 (297 mm long).

As others pointed, you may need to see whether you have to add or make sure the drivers in use are current, or retag..

Check page/margins.
Make sure the paper size is correctly passed

Software is custom software built on powerbuilder to print invoices, we aded custom from and has been  selected in Printer Preferences, Form length is 12 inch also page length in printer settings is 12 inch but using custom form will override any other printer setting.

Tried also to print from Word and got the same thing, 2nd page not correct, printing started a little bit higher,

No way to have issues with driver because Iam using 2 different printers and drivers and have same issue

Even in word got the same issue, why printer sliding Up ? on each page !!!

it is USB connection and we have branches have no issues with printing on the same software

hdhondt , As I mentioned Paper Driver has the correct custom form selected

arnold, How to check if the correct paper size is Passed ?

The form length was not correct, there is a 5 mm between actual form and computer form
