UNIX based SMTP relay solution

We're interested in developing a POST fix as solution for the SMTP relay based out of Unix/Linux platform. Is there a straightforward method to incorporate the application's IP address or hostname into the Postfix relay, ensuring that it only accepts connections from these specified sources? Additionally, does Postfix offer support for any development-related challenges or unforeseen errors that may arise within the relay system? We would greatly appreciate any guidance on documentation and pricing details.

I currently use Proxmox Mail Gateway for filtering etc.
Very usable and manageable.

https://www.proxmox.com/en/proxmox-mail-gateway/overview

do not use recipient restrictions if the server is open to the wan. if it is lan only, it matters little.

best to worse

firewall, client restrictions, helo r..., sender r... , recipients r...
