create ADR update servers in SCCM

hello, I have no experience with sccm and I have to administer a sccm that is already set up.

I would like to know how I can create an ADR from 0, to download the update packages, and send them to a collection of servers.

But important, it should not install anything on the servers. That is to say the update must be available, but the installation of patches and subsequent reboot of the server I want to do it manually when it suits us.

Please if you can answer me with maximum detail, as I say I have no experience in sccm.

Thanks

You'll have to adjust the "user experience" screen to match your needs to not automatically install.

HTH

Note that you'll have to have the Software Update Point role installed on one of your site servers and configured according to your needs.

Error 5 is "Access denied"

I believe it tries to write the data with the SCCM computer accout or SYSTEM so make sure SYSTEM has full control.

ASKER

hello,

yes, I have read in the logs that it seems that you are not allowed to download content.

But I have checked the permissions of the folder and it has them. The folder is shared and NTFS permissions NTFS has the administrator users, the team account of the sccm server, even already in desperation I have assigned the Everyone group permissions of fullcontrol.

And the access problem continues to fail, I do not understand why.

What are the share permissions?

Installation is the act of making a computer program program ready for execution. Because the process varies programs often come with a specialized program responsible for doing whatever is needed for their installation. Installation may be part of a larger software deployment process. Cross platform installer builders that produce installers for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux include InstallAnywhere, InstallBuilder and Install4J. Installers for Microsoft Windows include Windows Installer, InstallShield, and Wise Installation Studio; free installer-authoring tools include NSIS, IzPack, Clickteam, InnoSetup, InstallSimple and WiX. Mac OS X includes Installer, and also includes a separate software updating application.
