Xfinity Gateway: I have some new devices that I want to connect to my Xfinity router. My current password contains an underscore. The device that I want to connect does not have the option to type an underscore character in the WiFi config. I contacted that company and they apologized for the inconvenience, but there only solution was to have me change the pw on the router. I already have 20 devices in the house using that PW, I don't want to change it !
If my Xfinity G.W. had the ability to allow a 2nd account, and use a pw w/o underscore, that would solve my problem.
Anyone know how to do this ?
Thanks

Brand, make, model? A little more details would help.
Creality, Ender 3, V3
you may be able to setup a different SSID for each band 2.4G/5G/6G with their own password. i.e. setup the printer to use the 2.4G band and other devices that were setup to use the 5G/6G bands.

Dave, this may have to be my solution. Hate doing things like that.
The manufacture emailed back and stated that even the latest firmware did not include an underscore character.

Thanks
it is an extender to the current SSID which has the underscore. You need a new SSID without the underscore.
It states in the specs that it can be cofigured as an Access Point ?
