Hi,
I have Honor pad 9 pad. I am using word application on it. I am trying to create hyperlink in the word to refer to a documnets and images that is found on the same tablet. The documents and images that need to be connected to the original document found on the same tablet not in the cloud. I do not know how to find path to the documnet so I can add in the path for hyperlink. I mean the documents and images are on folder but how I can copy the path to that folder
Any suggestions
Thanks

I don't think hyperlinks work for local documents in Android. But in the “AndrOpen Office Writer” app I can insert locally stored documents via the the “Menu”, “Insert”, “File…", “Browse”, & then I can select the file I want to insert. This won't show up as a link though, rather it just inserts that file into the document directly. So it is directly embedded inside the document. You can also use “Copy”, “Paste”, the result is the same.
To create a shortcut to a file or folder on your Android home screen, you'll typically use the file manager or cloud storage app (like Google Drive). The process usually involves long-pressing the file, selecting "Add to Home screen" or a similar option, and then placing the shortcut on your home screen
I don't think he wants to create a link on the home screen, but rather add it to a document, at least that is how I understand his Question.

@rindi,
Thanks. Correct. I do not want to create a link on the home screen. I want to create hyperlink. as you explained. If this is the case that mean I can not create hyperlink to document on local tablet on Android and the document must be at cloud. Is that correct?
Regards
a hyperlink in android is something using a web protocol i.e. http / https vs a link which uses a file protocol.

Microsoft Word is a commercial document editing program that is part of the Microsoft Office suite. It features numerous text-editing tools for creating richly formatted documents, along with tools for the use of macros in Word documents. Word's native file formats are denoted either by a .doc or .docx file extension. Plugins permitting the Windows versions of Word to read and write formats it does not natively support, such as the OpenDocument format (ODF) are available. Word can import and display images in common bitmap formats such as JPG and GIF. It can also be used to create and display simple line-art.
